The Pure Water Antelope Valley project is part of the Palmdale Water District.
PARTNERS
Palmdale Water District is working with Capture6, a public benefit corporation, to test a first-of-its-kind technology using brine from the Pure Water AV Demonstration Facility in direct air capture process to remove carbon dioxide from the air. The technology will be tested to determine its reliability in the brine treatment. Once tested and regulatory approval is received, the project’s second phase will implement the technology at the full-scale Pure Water AV Advanced Water Purification Facility. Palmdale Water District will save its ratepayers on the cost of using alternative brine management methods to address the brine.
